I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, Fall is my FAVORITE season. The coolness in the air, the changing trees and celebrating Thanksgiving/Halloween, while getting geared up for Christmas. It’s so many great things all packed into a few short months.

One of my favorite things about Fall, is layering! And I’m talking specifically about layering clothing. Whether it’s just a jacket or a big comfy sweater, add in a scarf and some boots and I’m set! I feel like in summer everyone is somewhat overexposed in an effort to stay cool (both literally and figuratively). In the winter, us in the North, are mostly hiding indoors or under our goose down filled parka’s. Fall is the perfect season to make a statement when it comes to fashion and so today I want to share with you one of my favorite new looks: my tribal fall jumpsuit!

Tribal Fall Jumpsuit

There are so many things I want to talk about when it comes to this particular look, so let me start with the “biggest” one: plus size. So fun fact, Forever 21 and H&M now have plus size lines in some of their bigger, flagship stores. This is really exciting for women like me. I’ve talked to you before about being in this weird size, not quite a full-fledged plus but definitely not average size either. I can shop in both the plus stores as well as the regular stores and it’s usually always the same outcome: dig and dig and dig for a few items that I THINK might fit…go to the change room and try them on…get super frustrated because the items either don’t fit or just look like a potato sack on me…and then end up purchasing the one thing that sorta fits more out of desperation to find something and not because I actually really LOVE it. Anyone identify with that struggle?!

So this is why I’m SO excited about the new lines at Forever21 and H&M (note: this is NOT sponsored content, I’m just sharing how much I really love their new plus lines). I call their new line “Plus Size Junior.” It’s not really full-fledged plus sizes, like what you would find at an actual plus size store. It’s just their normal sizing…but extended. For example, H&M has up to size 24 and Forever21 has up to 4x, which is definitely not the same size as a 4x that you would find at a plus size store.

And because I love the styles already in both those stores, naturally, I am LOVING now being able to actually fit into them! So when it comes to this look, the jumpsuit is from Forever21 and the faux leather bomber jacket is from H&M.

I’ll be honest, most of my wardrobe consists of dark pieces, especially when it comes to pants. Black is the most slimming, but that doesn’t mean you can’t bust out a patterned jumpsuit every now and then and accentuate those curves! For so long I felt like I needed to hide my curves. But you know what? At the end of the day, they are my curves and I just need to embrace them!

I paired the look with a pair of black suede wedge pumps that have a gold detail across the toe. I actually found these at Payless (who even shops there?!) and got them during their BOGO sale for only $17! START THE CAR!!!

Finally, for my hair, I simply curled it and added in a Goody elastic headband. Paired with MAC’s Viva Glam Lipglass to complete the look, I felt like I was channeling my inner bohemian!

I love leggings and long tunic sweaters, but it’s hard to find things to fit myself here. In Canada there are only a few good stores that actually have a nice plus size selection. 🙁 Boo! Love this look!!

Yes, yes, yes! I am in that weird awkward inbetween stage. My biggest problem is my chest! It is huge so tops that fit perfectly there do not in the waist. Super frustrating but I am so happy to hear that these two stores are carrying some of the bigger sizes. I know where I’ll be going soon!
