We have three kids and so we’ve had our fair share of carseats over the last number of years. Our very first carseat was the Safety First Alpha Omega for our daughter. We loved it and to be honest, we only recently got rid of it to make way for this new carseat.
With having three kids use these carseats, we know that they need to be first and foremost safe and highly rated. They also need to be durable. I don’t want to have to buy new carseats every year. But what I also value is one that can grow with the kids as they get bigger.
So far, all of our previous carseats have not had that last function because as far I know, they aren’t many on the market, at a reasonable price point, that were designed that way.

This carseat is truly amazing with how it can accommodate a newborn all the way up to a 100 lb kid! The carseat starts off as rear facing for a baby who weighs anywhere from 5 – 40 lbs. Then you can turn it forward from 20 – 65 lbs. Finally, you can remove the five point harness and go straight to a seatbelt for a booster seat once your child hits 40 lbs all the way up to 100 lbs. This is truly a versatile seat that really anyone under the age of about eight years old can use.
It also features a QuickFit harness mechanism that allows you to adjust the height of the harness and headrest in one easy movement. No more having to adjust the straps themselves or trying to get seats to click into a new height.
One of the features that I love most about the carseat are the harness holders. These are two gray pieces on either side of the seat that allow you to slide in the harness to hold them back. This makes getting your child into the seat so much easier because you aren’t fishing for the harnesses behind their backs. Genius!
